England Squash expands Coach Developer Network to boost nationwide support

Group of female squash coaches take part in a coaching session.
We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our Coach Developer Network, a move designed to enhance coach education and support across the country. By welcoming an increased number of Coach Developers to the team, we can enhance face-to-face delivery, provide more localised training opportunities, and ensure tailored support for coaches in every region.

This initiative represents a significant step towards making coach education more inclusive and accessible. By bringing training closer to our communities, we aim to reflect the diverse needs and voices of coaches across the country. The expanded network will also enrich the learning experience by introducing fresh perspectives and ideas into the coach development process and allow us to train more coaches to effectively support clubs’ growth.

To ensure success, we are equipping every Coach Developer with comprehensive training and ongoing support, enabling them to deliver sessions with confidence and impact.

Hannah Ridgard-Mason, People and Education Manager said:

“Expanding our Coach Developer Network is about building connections and delivering tailored, face-to-face support that truly reflects each region's needs. By welcoming diverse voices and perspectives, we’re ensuring our coach education evolves with the vibrant squash community.

"We can’t wait to see the impact our Coach Developers will make across the country and look forward to supporting them on this journey.”

Paul Carter, Coach Developer – National Lead said:

“We are delighted to welcome more Coach Developers to our team as we deliver our new pathway. Their expertise, fresh ideas, and deep understanding of our communities will be invaluable in keeping coach education inspiring, relevant, and tailored to local needs.

"We really value the contribution they’ll make to our mission and are excited to support them as they help shape the development and growth of our dedicated coaches nationwide."

The expanded network is just one of the ways England Squash is modernising coach education and fostering a thriving coaching community.

England Squash's expanded coach developer network now covers all eight English regions.
