Our coach education's changing

A coaching pathway that works for you
In summer 2025, we're shifting away from a rigid, step-by-step coaching pathway. Instead, you'll have the flexibility to begin where it suits you best and grow in a way that fits your coaching environment. Whether you're introducing new players to the game or helping others refine their skills, every coach plays a crucial role.
What’s changing?
- No set pathway – pick the route that suits you, rather than following a fixed progression.
- More CPD, fewer costly qualifications – develop your skills without the need for expensive courses.
- Support that fits your coaching – practical tools, e-learning, and workshops designed to help you in your environment.
- More focus on community coaching – a push to grow fun, social squash and get more players involved.
- Tailored learning – each qualification includes core learning, practical experience, and optional modules so you can shape your own journey.
How it works
Think of it as a network of opportunities, not a ladder - choose where to start and what to build on. Our new coaching courses launch in July 2025, with existing Level 1 and 2 courses wrapping up in May and June. These revamped courses will equip you with the core skills to coach confidently, with optional extension courses available for further development.
Game Changer - a starting point for anyone interested in coaching, giving you the skills to deliver certain programmes when taken alongside linked courses.
Community Development Coach - focuses on making squash accessible, fun, and engaging for all to help grow the game, helping players build confidence and skills at their own pace.
Player Development Coach - designed for coaches who want to help players progress, whether that’s improving in their club, competing, or working towards personal goals.
