England Squash Awards nominations now open for 2024

Nominations for the seventh annual England Squash Awards are now open, celebrating individuals and clubs across the country who have gone the extra mile in making a positive impact within the squash community in 2024.

New for this year is the revamped Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year award, previously the Community Project of the Year award, which celebrates individuals that unite their squash and local communities through delivering or championing inclusive activities.

The Awards are a chance to recognise the inspirational work of people across the sport, and celebrate and showcase their stories and achievements across eight categories:

  • Coach of the Year
  • Unsung Hero of the Year
  • Club/Venue of the Year
  • Young Volunteer/Coach of the Year
  • Referee of the Year
  • Rising star of the Year
  • Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year
  • Moment of the Year (public vote – December 2024)

Mark Williams, CEO of England Squash, said:

“It is thanks to the incredible efforts of squash’s unsung heroes that so many of us can enjoy playing the sport we love each year.

“The England Squash Awards offer the perfect opportunity for us to recognise these inspiring individuals and show our appreciation for everything they do to help make our great game happen.

“It’s always a real privilege to learn about the outstanding contributions and progress being made across the squash community. For anyone who loves squash, I would actively encourage you to consider nominating someone that deserves to be recognised this year.”

Nominations are now open and the squash community has until 5pm on 21st October to nominate anyone who has made an outstanding contribution to the sport in 2024.
