This blended course combines face to face delivery with e-learning modules. There are three face to face days, which take place between 10:00am and 4:00pm and six online modules to complete. Candidates will learn the skills required to deliver the technical and tactical elements of delivering squash to juniors and adults at beginner and intermediate level, through the coaching of individual and group lessons.
Candidates will learn how to analyse player’s needs, plan for a series of lessons and to operate as a Club Coach.

What you'll learn
Candidates will be required to complete e-learning modules prior and during the course, ensuring that all e-learning modules are completed before commencement of the third day. There are approximately six weeks in between days two and three of the qualification - during which you will be required to conduct player analysis, plan, deliver and evaluate eight lessons (four individual and four group lessons).
Your course tutor will provide ongoing support throughout the duration of the Award.
At the end of the course, you should be able to:
- Plan and deliver a programme of progressive individual and group training sessions in accordance with England Squash coaching philosophy.
- Implement 'how to coach' skills to create an inclusive, player centered and positive learning environment.
- Deliver the player pathway from entry to club level, ensuring players maximise their desired potential.
- Posses an open mind set, taking responsibility for own personal development.
- Develop effective squash communities.
Pre-course requirements
- You must be at least 17 years of age.
- Be technically competent (being able to demonstrate all shots) and have a reasonable knowledge and understanding of the game.
- Have completed an appropriate England Squash Level 1 coaching award
- Have a valid England Squash Coaches Club membership
- Have an up-to-date DBS Enhanced Disclosure, as well as up-to-date Safeguarding & Protecting Children and First Aid certificates.
