Your volunteer workforce
This section signposts you to a number of organisations that have created resources and advice around recruiting and retaining volunteers.
Sport and Recreation Alliance
The Sport and Recreation Alliance has a wide range of resources around volunteering based on insight into what drives people to volunteer and what keeps them volunteering. From this insight, they have developed the GIVERS framework to help clubs recruit, retain and realise the potential of volunteers.
Their 10 Top Tips give clubs some practical steps on how to keep your existing volunteers happy, and how to recruit new volunteers.
The Sport and Recreation Alliance volunteer finder is available for you to promote your club's volunteering opportunities to prospective volunteers in your community.
Club Matters
Do you have an induction process for new volunteers? Do your current volunteers understand their role?
The Club Matters website has a range of resources and templates to support clubs in finding, keeping and developing volunteers.
Alongside this, Club Matters organise a range of workshops including a Volunteer Experience workshop.
