Engaging your community

Your community is fundamental to ensuring your club continues to attract new players and members. Explore ideas to reach out to your community and discover a number of areas you could target.

Education

What are the secrets to engaging schools? Read our top tips for engaging schools.

Primary schools

Junior 101 is the perfect way to engage with your local primary school, providing them with their first experience of squash, and can be delivered in a sports hall or on a squash court. Clubs across the country work with schools to recruit players.

The England Squash endorsed Junior Progress Awards from Off The Wall Squash are a fantastic way for coaches, clubs and young players to track improvements and highlight individual areas of strength - kids will love collecting the certificates and wristbands too!

Secondary schools

Squash delivery in secondary schools can give pupils before the opportunity to experience the sport for the first time. Typically delivered on the school site (if they have courts) or at their local squash club, this delivery is utilised to 'top up' junior activity levels and recruit potential new members.

Universities

Universities

University squash is typically delivered onsite or at the club. Delivery varies across the country with some clubs offering a university use of the venue under a hire agreement. This is a great way to integrate students into the club environment and also promote your club locally.

Local businesses

We've put together the following information sheet that you can present to local businesses to highlight the benefits of squash and encourage them to get through your doors.
